More reasons to love Milton

When we moved to Milton over 6 years ago I had no idea what was here, we just knew we really liked it.   I can’t even remember who introduced me to Mill Pond and all the wonderful aspects to this beautiful park.  I just know that I have been going there for years.  I love introducing it to families who have lived here for years and never knew we had this gem right in our own backyard.  This was one of those families.  We had planned to go to Lowville but I stopped in there the day prior to our session to check on the leaves and there just were not many to be seen except those on the ground.  I checked Mill Pond on the way back and sure enough there was still tons of leaves on the trees and lots of colour so that is where we ended up.

It is turning out to be a great fall.

Halloween was so nice.  It has been warmer in the past but not bad at all for trick or treating.  The leaves have also managed to hang on a bit longer this year than they did last year.  We had a big rain storm towards the end of October and it took all the leaves off the trees.    The tree in front of my house still has most of it’s leaves and they are a beautiful red at the moment.

We still had some great colour for this family that got rained out the weekend before.

A couple more fall images

I had a few minutes so I thought I would add a couple more images from my fall series.  This has been crazy weather this year from the really warm Thanksgiving weekend to the cold and rain the following weekend.  We all still managed to have fun which is really important.  If you are not enjoying yourself, it shows.

Thanks for stopping by!

More Fall Portraits

What amazing weather we had last weekend!  I was so sad that we were not able to move some a couple of the families from this coming weekend to last weekend.  It is going to be a drip and dodge weekend!  Have not tried to photograph a wack load of umbrella’s yet.  Maybe we could run out and get enough to cover 17 people??  I hope we get a window of relief from the rain!!

Here are a couple more portraits from this past weekend.

Leah, the pictures are stunning! Light is beautiful! Love the expressions. Beautiful location! Love!

I love the fall!

I have always said that I am not a beach person.  Heat and I do not get along.  Spring is often damp, and that just makes my hair crazy.  Winter I don’t mind, love that crisp air and a bit of snow, but fall has it all.  Warm but not too hot, beautiful colours and so far this year you have to think about shorts instead of cozy sweaters.  This messed up a couple of well organized outfit co-ordinations for family’s that had their sessions this weekend.

Here are a couple of images taken at Lowville and Mill Pond.  My two favourite locations for fall portraits.  Still working on some others from this weekend but I have to head out to our family Thanksgiving meal.  Really looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope you are all able to celebrate in a small or a big way with those you love.

Leah
